Trinity Rosa

Hi, my name is Trinity Rosa, and I am a student in the mental health and wellness counseling track at New York University. I expect to graduate in the Spring of 2024, to become a licensed mental health counselor. As an intern at Defining Moments, I aspire to put into practice what I have learned and trained for.

I attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where I received my BA in forensic psychology. I gained a deeper understanding of the stigmatization of mental health issues and illness. As a result, I felt empowered to pursue my master's degree and advocate for underserved communities in the aspect of mental health. My previous experience was geared towards group counseling and play therapy methods working with children and adolescents. There I learned the power of empathy and understanding.

I am hoping to apply an integrative model using cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapy to help clients implement a well-balanced lifestyle. I am also dedicated to addressing adverse experiences using cultural humility and patience. In addition, increasing awareness of the physical, emotional, and psychological impacts of trauma and stressors in our everyday lives. Such as navigating careers, family, school, and personal adversities. I hope we can build a relationship of trust, so we can collaborate on developing important skills and goals through our time together and after.
